RAH Leader Recruitment

Recycling Away from Home depends on the old adage that “Many hands make light work”. But behind the scenes, year-round in between the events, are the hidden few that keep RAH running. We need leaders whow can help with things like neighborhood and vendor outreach, publicity of our events and our group, new volunteer recruitment, and on-site Day Captains to coordinate the people working each event. As we try to extend RAH’s reach to other events, and ramp up waste reduction at our current events through things like composting, we will need more leader strength.

So if you have volunteered for RAH before and would like to take the next step, or if you’re new and want to see what goes on behind the curtain, contact Don Ferber at d_ferber@sbcglobal.net or 608-222-9376.

Be Part of the “Recycling Krewe”

RAH Krewes setup recycling bins, check and replace bags during neighborhood festivals, to help reduce the waste stream. We also sometimes help setup at the beginning and tear down after the event. It’s not hard work, and you aren’t asked to do anything you’re not comfortable with. And you can often drink beer, listen to music, watch the people and enjoy the festival while you do it! How can you beat that for a volunteer job! Summer 2012 Festival Schedule

• September 15 – 16: Willy Street Fair
