Who We Are

Recycling Away from Home (RAH) is a loose coalition of organizations working to get the word out about event recycling and waste reduction options.

RAH began in the Marquette Neighborhood in Madison, where several large community events are held each year. People at the Marquette Neighborhood Association became keenly aware that recycling was needed to help manage the amount of waste being generated by attendees.

So RAH was born with the goal to provide recycling tools, volunteers, support and education for neighborhood festivals and events in and around Madison. We also work with city and county officials to create recycling-friendly ordinances and regulations.

We thank our partners in all these great organizations:

Each one plays a role in organizing resources, transportation, volunteers and vendor information.  We thank them all for the part they play in Recycling Away from Home.  If your organization is interested in offering support for RAH, please contact us.
